Positive Access Customer Applications

Positive Access provides its IDecode driver license parsing tool to developers who in turn develop vertical market software that addresses specific needs. This list indicates some of the situations that are addressed by Positive Access developers using IDecode.

Patriot Act Compliance

The Patriot Act requires banks and other institutions to track customer activity. Developers are using PAC software to automate the identification process to reduce errors and increase productivity.

Automobile Dealer Customer ID

Millions of dollars worth of automobiles are stolen each year from dealers who accept fake ID's. One of Positive Access' customers use IDecode to check the validity of the dealer's customer before they use a car.

Emergency Event Control

When a disaster such as Hurricane Katrina hits an area, emergency volunteers and agencies must control who has access to the scene. Positive Access software helps keep track of these individuals in a quick and efficient manner.

Hospital Record Access

When a person enters a hospital it is sometimes difficult to identify the person and to determine if they had been in the hospital before. Using Positive Access software developers have developed systems that can use the ubiquitous driver's license to identify the person and match them to hospital records.

Casino Registration

Casinos are highly regulated and need to have records of their customers. Positive Access software is used in these establishments to allow for quick and accurate identification of patrons as they enter the casino. Many casinos propagate information to produce a "casino card."

Fill In a Form

A software developer has taken the Positive Access IDecode.NET product and developed a software solution that can read a driver's license and fill in blanks of a user's screen-displayed form.

Gate Control

One of Positive Access' customers has enhanced its product for military and civilian gate control. The addition of automatic identification has increased the speed and accuracy for logging visitors to military bases and also other limited access areas.

Police Vehicles Using PAC's products

Positive Access' software is used in various police department solutions such as automatic input of driver's identification to insure that accurate and quick entry is made when checking personal data and to provide a search of databases such as the NCIC. Also PAC software is used in automated ticketing applications where speed and accuracy are paramount.

Building Access Control Systems

Several developers have used PAC software to provide a better solution for building access control. Rather than relying on hand entry of information by a visitor, the developer can automate the visitor registration and reentry by scanning the driver's license.

Pharmacy Drug Tracking Systems

Positive Access developers have created and marketed systems which will track the identity of persons who purchase controlled drugs at pharmacies where this tracking is not required by federal and state law.

POS Server Model

Several developers use the PAC IDecode Server product to implement rule-based predictive models used at retail server operations to connect to several thousand POS terminals.

Kiosk Control

Developers using the IDecode product will use the driver's license as an ID when dispensing products from an unattended kiosk.
